LAMB TACO
This has very little to do with anything Kashmiri but I like it and I’m Kashmiri and this is my site - so I’m putting it here.
Earlier in the week I had ordered some new spices from Burlap and Barrel and wanted to see them in action so I came up with this simple taco idea to test them out. The other key feature of this is that I mix baking soda into the ground meat which really helps it brown nicely (even if you don’t cook this recipe definitely add a little baking soda the next time you’re cooking ground meat).
recipe
sprinkle the ground lamb with the ground black lime powder, fermented white pepper, cumin seeds, baking soda and salt
combine the spices and meat with ur hands and let it sit for 20 minutes
heat up 2 tablespoons of oil
drop the meat in and brown it up
add peas
cook until the peas are ready
heat up a paratha and cover it with yogurt and peas/meat
fold it and eat hot
ingredients
2 tsp black lime powder
2 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp fermented white pepper
.5 tsp baking soda
salt to taste
